John Dombrosky joins Bindbridge as Head of Commercial
We are delighted to welcome John Dombrosky as Head of Commercial at Bindbridge.
John brings more than 25 years of experience across agricultural biotechnology, commercial strategy, business development and company building. His direct experience developing targeted protein degradation for crop protection makes him exceptionally well placed to help advance Bindbridge’s molecular glue programmes towards commercialisation.
John was previously CEO of Oerth Bio, a joint venture between Bayer and Arvinas established to apply targeted protein degradation to agriculture. Backed by more than $55 million in committed funding, Oerth built a scientific team and technology platform to develop PROTAC protein degraders for crop protection. Under John’s leadership, the company delivered against technical development milestones and established major joint development and licensing relationships across the AgChem industry.
Earlier in his career, John held senior roles at Syngenta, including responsibility for business development and M&A. More recently, he led AgTech Accelerator, a venture development platform, and served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ohalo Genetics.
John joins Bindbridge as we advance our platform for the rational design of molecular glues. By combining computational protein-interaction modelling, synthesis-aware chemistry generation and experimental validation, we aim to develop crop-protection products that selectively degrade proteins essential to weeds, insect pests and plant pathogens.
As Head of Commercial, John will lead our commercial strategy and engagement with the crop-protection industry. Working with our scientific team and prospective partners, he will build collaborations around our discovery programmes and translate technical progress into joint development and licensing opportunities.
